Scooter was Anne’s second “heart dog” and littermate to our beloved Noodles. He loved to train but no always to compete but with his happy face and wagging tail he made everyone laugh when he competed, qualify or not. He left us way to soon due to liver hemangiosarcoma. We miss him every day.
Career highlights:
- Owner handled to his AKC Championship. The Grand Championship title was initiated after his show career ended or I am sure he would have easily completed that title.
- Best in Specialty Show at the 2007 Pilgrim Basset Hound Club December Specialty Show over many other specials. Made the cut in a large and competitive group.
- Group Placing while owner-handled.
- The only basset in our pack to achieve the Rally Excellent Title (highest title available at that time) although Rima will likely join him in that achievement.
- Easily earned his Novice Jumpers Agility title but when his 2nd official jump height measurement came in at 14.25” we retired him rather than have him jump 12” in Preferred classes.
- Certified Therapy Dog by Therapy Dogs International.
